Christen Harty Schaefer<\/strong> is a California native who discovered her passion for producing and directing, in the TV studio at Pepperdine University. After earning her BA in Communications and Television Production, she never looked back. Today, Chris is two-time Emmy-nominated Producer, Director, and Writer who brings over 30 years of experience in the film and television industry, having worked with a number of Hollywood\u2019s elite and a myriad of networks including CBS, ABC, NBC, FOX, Discovery Channel and HGTV. For six years Chris collaborated with Steven Spielberg, DreamWorks, HBO and The History Channel to create over 25 specials and documentaries highlighting such critically acclaimed films as Saving Private Ryan, Amistad, and Catch Me If You Can, among others. She had the honor of writing and directing three award-winning documentaries with Band of Brothers author, Stephen Ambrose, on the personal stories from the men and women of WWII. As the VP of Development for New Wave Entertainment, Chris helped create, produce and package over 150 hours of content for Lifetime, Biography and A&E, as well as the ABC Network Special, Signs of Fear, directed by M. Night Shyamalan. At Pie Town Productions, as VP of Development, Chris cultivated and sold a number of series, from family docu-soaps to real estate\u00a0<\/span>docu-soaps to crime series, for networks such as A&E, ION and Oprah Winfrey\u2019s OWN. Chris also brought Providence High School students and the Non-profit Foundation, Operation Kids, together, producing, writing and directing the teen pilot Shoot From The Heart, following our young filmmakers working to make positive change. She attends The MFA Dramatic Writing Distance Program at the University of Idaho and is a 20-year member of the Directors Guild of America. Chris and her husband, who is the Director of Photography on the Warner Bros. His independent feature films Kissy Kissy<\/em> andMurmurs<\/em> have screened at several international film festivals and his most recent short film Tender<\/em> is currently on the US film festival circuit. Elric is also the producer and host of the popular web television show Inside Horror<\/em> and the Geek Nation podcast\u00a0Killer POV<\/em>. Originally from Clarinda, Iowa, Sean studied Cinema and Comparative Literature at the University of Iowa, then moved to Los Angeles to train at The Second City.
